Here’s the thing—in the past, I’ve really struggled to write this section. It’s always been difficult to articulate just how much this business means to me, and how deeply I pour myself into each and every wedding I have the privilege of capturing. In many ways, this artwork is an outpouring of who I am and who I am becoming… and it’s difficult to sum that up well.
Although I am an avid fan of extra frothy morning lattes, New Girl, and other such universal delights, there’s a bit more that I’d love to share about Krista behind the scenes...

Holding that truth at heart, I believe in preserving the sanctity of marriage, ensuring every moment is captured with care and intention, reflecting the genuineness of your love story. I strive bridge the gap between editorial and documentary photography, specializing in emotive imagery inspired 35 mm film. Whether you prefer film or digital photography, I work with both to curate a wedding gallery that is an accurate representation of how your wedding day truly unfolded.

From the anticipation of getting ready, the emotional first looks, to the heartfelt exchange of vows, and the lively celebration - I aim to capture every moment as it genuinely happens. Though you will never find me interrupting a sentimental moment to reposition you for the sake of a photograph (yes, that really happens... yikes) - I am familiar with all lighting situations and take great care to help capture these natural moments in artistic and timeless way. You'll feel like your wedding day fell out of the pages of a magazine! Keeping that in mind - I love to leave time for more editorial + posed couples portraits, because who doesn't love a good vouge moment.

There's an ethereal quality to the way film captures the emotions of a scene, a visual outcome that eludes digital photography. Many photographer seek to mimic its aesthetic with digital images, but I believe there is an irreplaceable essence of 35mm film — where light and color meld in a way that no other medium can replicate.
Digital photographs, a mere collection of pixels stacked into a grid, lack the organic nature of film's patchwork - a portrayal less linear, more like a woven tapestry.
